Ambassador of Pakistan met with Amir Khan Motaghi in Kabul

Abdul Qahar Balkhi, the spokesman of the Taliban’s foreign ministry, says that Obaidal Rehman Nizamani, the Pakistani ambassador in Kabul, met with Amir Khan Motaghi, the head of the ministry.

He wrote in a series of tweets that the Minister of Foreign Affairs, while welcoming the Pakistani ambassador, expressed hope that his return will have a positive effect on the diplomatic relations between the two countries.

In the continuation of this meeting, the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Taliban considered the release of a number of Afghan prisoners from the prisons of Karachi as a positive step and requested the release of other prisoners before the arrival of Eid al-Fitr.

He has also requested Pakistan to facilitate the issuance of visas to Afghans.

In this meeting, the ambassador of Pakistan also expressed hope for the improvement of relations between the two countries and added that the embassy of Pakistan will work together with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan on a mechanism to facilitate visas.

It should be noted that Obaidur Rahman Nizamani, the Pakistani ambassador in Kabul, returned to Pakistan a few months ago after the attack on the embassy of that country.
