Italy donated more than 5 million dollars to Afghanistan

The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in Afghanistan has announced that Italy has donated more than 5 million dollars to the people of Afghanistan.

In a tweet, Ucha thanked Italy and said that this country has provided 5 million euros equivalent to 5.3 million dollars to the Afghanistan Humanitarian Fund.

This institution added that the aid will be provided to the needy in Afghanistan.

Ocha announced yesterday that the European Union has also donated 3 million euros equivalent to 3.2 million dollars to Afghanistan.

This organization had previously said that about 6 million people in Afghanistan are currently facing emergency levels of food insecurity and are on the verge of famine.
