The Prime Minister of Qatar arrived in Kandahar at the head of a delegation to meet with Taliban officials

Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesman of the caretaker government of the Taliban, has announced that the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Qatar have arrived in Kandahar at the head of a high-ranking delegation to meet with the officials of this group.

He wrote in a tweet that today (Friday) the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Qatar, His Excellency Mohammad bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, the head of intelligence of that country, Abdullah Al-Khilfi, and his accompanying delegation met with the Prime Minister of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, Mullah Mohammad Hassan Akhund, and his accompanying delegation in Kandahar province.

He added that in this meeting, the Prime Minister of Qatar emphasized on expanding relations and increasing the level of trust between the two countries, as well as practical cooperation in the educational, health and economic fields of Afghanistan.

According to the spokesperson of the Taliban, in the continuation of this meeting, the Prime Minister of the Islamic Emirate, Mullah Mohammad Hassan Akhund, appreciated the previous and current cooperation of Qatar with the people of Afghanistan and emphasized the continuation of this cooperation.
