The Ministry of Finance announced the seizure of some explosives in Torkham Customs

The Ministry of Finance of the Taliban has announced that some explosives have been discovered and seized by Torkham customs officials.

The ministry wrote in a tweet that Torkham customs officials have discovered and seized 39 packages of explosives called “barut halvai” weighing 487.65 kilograms, which were embedded in a commercial shipment of commercial goods.

According to this ministry, the property of this shipment belonged to Shams Amin company, which intended to transfer it from Pakistan to Afghanistan.

The Ministry of Finance added that the driver of the cargo and the representatives of the mentioned company were arrested for being involved in this case and have been handed over to the relevant investigative bodies for further investigation.
