Mottaqi: The Islamic Emirate is committed to the agreement of 1351 regarding Iran’s water rights

Regarding Iran’s water rights, Amir Khan Mottaqi, the Taliban’s foreign minister, says that the Islamic Emirate is committed to the agreement of 1351.
He said in a news conference that the Islamic Emirate is committed to the agreement of 1351 regarding Iran’s water rights, but the drought that is going on in Afghanistan and the region should not be overlooked.
He added that according to the report of the International Rescue Organization, Afghanistan is the third country most vulnerable to climate change in the world, and most of the effects of climate change have been on the country’s water resources.
The foreign minister of the Taliban asked the Iranian officials to adjust their expectations based on the agreement of 1351 and the comments should be based on the provisions contained in the agreement.
It should be mentioned that a few days ago, Hassan Kazemi Qomi, head of the Iranian Embassy in Kabul, set a deadline of one month for the release and provision of Iran’s water share.
