Ocha: To provide shelter for more than 9 million people in Afghanistan, 374 million dollars are needed

The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in Afghanistan has requested more than 370 million dollars to provide non-food aid to the needy people in this country.

Ocha wrote in a tweet that decades of conflict and natural disasters have led to the need for shelter for around 9.7 million people in Afghanistan, and the United Nations is working to provide shelter to this number of people.

This institution added that 374 million dollars is needed in 2023 to protect and provide shelter and support humanitarian non-food items.

It should be mentioned that the citizens of Afghanistan witnessed natural disasters last year and early this year, including earthquakes, heavy rain and snow, and floods.

These natural disasters have led to dozens of deaths and the destruction of hundreds of houses in most provinces of Afghanistan.
