Breshna Company announced the creation of a 5-year plan for the production of renewable energy

Officials of the Afghanistan Electricity Company (Brashna) say that a five-year strategic plan for renewable energy has been prepared and all renewable energy production projects are prioritized for the next five years.

Maulvi Abdul Rahman Rahmani, the supervisor and commercial director of Afghanistan Electricity Company, said in a news conference that Afghanistan Electricity Company is developing a five-year strategic plan for renewable energy.

Mr. Rahmani added that among the remaining works of large electricity projects, the important projects of the 220 KV Ghazni-Kandahar transmission line and the contract for the construction of 120 power towers have been signed with a private company worth 2.2 million dollars.

 Also, the supervisor and commercial director of Afghanistan Electricity Company said: The technical team of Afghanistan Electricity Company, in cooperation with the Ministry of Telecommunications and Information Technology, has designed an online payment system for electricity bills, which is used in 28 provinces, and customers pay electricity bills online through banks.
