In the report published by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), the global trend of forced displacement in 2022 shows that a total of 108.4 million people have been forcibly displaced as a result of persecution, conflict and violence in the world, and from This number is 5.7 million people from Afghanistan.

According to this report, Syria has the largest number of refugees with 6.5 million refugees, and Ukraine and Afghanistan are in second place with 5.7 million refugees each.

The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees added in its report that the number of forcibly displaced people increased by 8% in 2022, and this is the highest figure.

The organization called for increased international cooperation to address the global crisis of forced displacement and added that it needs more funding to support its work in providing humanitarian aid to refugees, asylum seekers and internally displaced people.
