The Taliban asked the Chinese company to start the Aynak copper project as soon as possible

Shahabuddin Delawar, the Taliban Minister of Mines and Petroleum, met with the vice president of the Chinese company on Monday and asked him to start the Aynak copper mine project quickly.

The ministry announced in a series of tweets that the vice president of the Chinese company discussed plans for the initiation and implementation of the Aynak copper project, including the construction of a road for the project, the transfer of antiquities, and the examination of possible solutions to existing challenges.

The Minister of Mines and Petroleum of the Taliban said in this meeting that the ministry has provided all facilities according to the contract signed with this company and this company should not postpone the project any longer.

It should be mentioned that last year a Chinese company concluded a new contract with the Taliban to invest in copper mining from Aynak copper in Logar province, but this project was postponed for some reasons.
