A young boy in Helmand died after falling into a well

The Taliban Ministry of Defense has announced the death of a child after falling into a well in Helmand province.

The ministry wrote in a tweet that a boy and a girl fell into a water well in Marjah and Sangin districts of Helmand province on Friday.

The Ministry of Defense added that the technical team of the Ministry reached the area after learning about the incident and managed to save both children, but one of the children died after being pulled out of the well.

The ministry added that the health status of the young girl is good.

The Ministry of Defense asked citizens to close their water wells to prevent similar incidents from happening in the future.
