Abdul Ghani Baradar inaugurated the Salangha highway reconstruction project

Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar, Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs of Taliban, inaugurated the Salang highway reconstruction project.

The economic deputy of the Taliban’s prime minister’s office wrote in a tweet that in addition to the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, Mullah Mohammad Isa Thani, the Acting Minister of Public Works, provincial officials of Parwan and Baghlan and representatives of the private sector were present at the opening ceremony of this project.

This institution added that the reconstruction project of the highways in the north and south of Salang with the support of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan by the private sector will be completed within two years with a length of 80 kilometers, which will provide job opportunities for thousands of people.

The representatives of the private sector say that Afghanistan’s trade will be developed by means of highways, especially with the reconstruction of the roads, and through Afghanistan, there will be a significant increase in the transit level from Central Asia to South Asia.
