Afghanistan signed a memorandum of understanding with Iran on the development of railway cooperation

A delegation headed by the head of the Afghanistan Railway Department and the Iranian delegation signed a memorandum of understanding on the development of railway cooperation.

According to this memorandum of understanding between the two countries, along with preparations for the construction and development of the Khaf-Herat railway, the Iranian side showed interest in reviving the Silk Road with the help of the railway.

It should be noted that yesterday (Wednesday), Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid announced the start of the railway line between Iran and Afghanistan and said that after this commercial property will also be transferred from Turkey to Afghanistan.

He wrote in a tweet that the start of the railway between Iran and Afghanistan and the transfer of goods from Turkey to Afghanistan through Herat has opened a major trade route between Afghanistan and Europe.
