Hamed Karzai met with the Iranian ambassador in Kabul

Hamid Karzai, the former president of Afghanistan, has met with Hassan Kazemi Qomi, the special representative of the Iranian president for Afghanistan and the ambassador of that country in Kabul.

Mr. Karzai wrote in a tweet that in this meeting, in addition to discussing and exchanging opinions about the current situation in Afghanistan and the region, he thanked Iran for hosting millions of Afghan immigrants over many years.

He added that in this meeting, he also expressed his gratitude to Iran for providing education for Afghan youths and for helping the people of Afghanistan, and requested the continued cooperation of that country in order to expand education for Afghan boys and girls.
