The Taliban rejected the Security Council’s report that they have a relationship with Al-Qaeda

Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesman of the Islamic Emirate, reacted to the report of the United Nations Security Council that the Taliban has relations with Al-Qaeda and rejected it.

He wrote in a tweet that the report of the Security Council stating that the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan has relations with the Al-Qaeda organization is not true and that the Al-Qaeda organization is not present in Afghanistan.

The Taliban spokesman added that the Islamic Emirate will not allow anyone to use Afghanistan’s soil against the security of any other country.

The new report of the United Nations Security Council states that the Taliban still have a close relationship with the Al-Qaeda network, and Ayman al-Zawahiri, the leader of the Al-Qaeda network, has renewed his allegiance with Hebatullah Akhundzadeh, the leader of the Taliban group.
