Mujahid denied UNAMA’s claim of torture and killing of former government forces

Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesman of the Islamic Emirate, reacted to the United Nations report about the torture and killing of 800 former government forces by the forces of the Islamic Emirate and said that the said report is not true.
He wrote in a tweet that the recent report of the United Nations Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA), which says that around 800 people from the former administration were killed and tortured by the forces of the Islamic Emirate, is not true.
The spokesman of the Islamic Emirate added that the general amnesty is in place throughout the country.
In the UNAMA report published Tuesday, at least 800 cases of extrajudicial killings, arbitrary arrests and detentions, torture and ill-treatment and forced disappearances have been carried out against people affiliated with the previous regime, the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan and its security forces. , has been documented since the Taliban came to power.
In response, Zabihullah Mujahid added that some parts of the United Nations, instead of understanding the concrete realities of Afghanistan and observing the positive developments, are always looking for negative points and are trying to spread propaganda, which will damage their credibility.
According to him, revenge in some personal and unknown cases has been seriously investigated by the relevant organs of the Islamic Emirate in such a way that its number is limited.
In its report, UNAMA asked the ruling authorities to clarify the conditions of the amnesty, to ensure its approval, and to conduct credible and transparent criminal investigations into the alleged cases of human rights violations against former government officials and members of the Afghan National Security Forces.
