Ismat Irgashev and his accompanying delegation met with Sher Mohammad Abbas Stanekzai

Ismat Irgashev, the special representative of the President of Uzbekistan for Afghanistan affairs and his accompanying delegation met with Sher Mohammad Abbas Stanekzai, the political deputy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate.

Zia Ahmad Takal, Deputy Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs wrote in a tweet that in this meeting Mr. Argashev, in addition to pointing out the good relations between Uzbekistan and Afghanistan, also mentioned the creation of a regular mechanism in the field of issuing visas and providing facilities to Afghan businessmen.

Mr. Argashev added that his country sent up to 6,000 tons of commercial goods to Pakistan through Afghanistan last year, which was considered impossible in the past.

The political deputy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs also expressed his appreciation for humanitarian aid and good relations between Uzbekistan and Afghanistan.

In order to facilitate trade and transit, he called it necessary to create a comprehensive mechanism between Uzbekistan, Afghanistan and Pakistan and to create the necessary facilities in trade and transit according to the security situation.
