The Taliban’s Ministry of Interior reacted to the statements of the Amnesty International representative

The Ministry of Interior Affairs of the Islamic Emirate has reacted to the statement of the representative of Amnesty International that the purpose of installing security cameras in Kabul is a violation of human rights and rejected it.

Abdul Matin Qane, the spokesman of the ministry, wrote in a tweet that the representative of Amnesty International said about the installation of more than 62,000 security cameras in Kabul city that the purpose of these cameras is to violate human rights, enter private space and impose restrictions.

He rejected the claim of Amnesty International and added that when the United States and NATO were conducting surveillance operations by placing balloons in all areas of the country, including Kabul, for their intelligence purposes, why did the defenders of human rights and privacy not react?

The spokesman of the Ministry of Interior considered the installation of security cameras in Afghanistan as a security necessity and said that this is common in the cities and capitals of all countries of the world.

According to him, the Islamic Emirate is committed to maintaining security, protecting all people’s rights and considering all Sharia principles.

The Ministry of Interior asked Amnesty International and other organizations to express their position or opinion according to the objective facts in Afghanistan.
