The Islamic Emirate distributed operating licenses to 25 media outlets

Officials of the Ministry of Information and Culture of the Islamic Emirate say that in the last two years, 25 media outlets have been licensed.

Hayatullah Mohajer Farahi, deputy director of the ministry’s broadcasting affairs, says that in the last two years, activity licenses have been distributed to 25 media outlets.

He adds that currently 364 audio and video media are operating in Afghanistan.

It should be mentioned that after the Taliban came to power in Afghanistan, many restrictions were imposed on the media.

Previously, Reporters Without Borders has announced that Afghanistan has lost more than fifty percent of its journalists, especially women, during one year of Taliban rule.
