Afghan officials talked with Turkmen authorities about the purchase of electricity

Afghanistan Electricity Company (Brashna) has announced that the officials of this company have met Murad Artikov, the head of international electricity projects of Turkmenistan.
The company said in a statement that in this meeting, the two sides discussed the Noor Al Jihad substation project, electricity purchase for 2024 and the TAP project.
The representative of Turkmenistan said in this meeting about the electricity transmission project from Turkmenistan to Afghanistan and Pakistan that they held a joint meeting with the Pakistani side and they also agreed that after the agreement of the Afghan side, a joint meeting will be held between all three countries.
In this meeting, the Turkmen side expressed hope that the work of Noorul Jihad substation project will be completed by January 2024 and the amount of electricity to Herat, which is currently 70 megawatts, will reach 110 megawatts.
