Thomas West spoke to Martin Griffiths about the humanitarian situation in Afghanistan

Thomas West, the US special representative for Afghanistan, has spoken with Martin Griffiths, the deputy secretary general of the United Nations, about the humanitarian situation in Afghanistan.

On page X, Mr. West announced his meeting with Martin Griffiths, Deputy Secretary General of the United Nations and wrote that the United States is still the largest provider of humanitarian aid to meet the vital needs of Afghans.

The special representative of the US in Afghanistan continued to appreciate the implementing partners for providing assistance in accordance with international principles.

Thomas West has also warned of the reduction of humanitarian aid to the people of Afghanistan due to the lack of funds.
