Polio vaccination campaign was started all over Afghanistan

The Ministry of Public Health of the Islamic Emirate has announced the start of the national polio vaccination campaign throughout Afghanistan.

The ministry said in a statement that this campaign has started today (Monday) throughout Afghanistan and in this round more than 11 million children under 5 years of age will receive the polio vaccine.

The Ministry of Public Health has asked parents in Afghanistan to protect their children under five years of age against polio by applying the polio vaccine and in this way play their role in eradicating this disease.

Dr. Qalandar Ebad, acting head of the ministry, also emphasized that the ministry is committed to eradicating polio in Afghanistan in cooperation with its partners, and said that polio vaccination campaigns and basic health services will continue until the complete eradication of this disease.
