Mottaqi met with his Chinese counterpart on the sidelines of the Trans-Himalaya meeting

Amir Khan Mottaqi, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate, met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of China, Wang Yi, on the sidelines of the meeting of the Trans-Himalayan Forum.
Hafiz Zia Ahmad, Deputy Spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate, wrote on the X social page that in this meeting, the two sides discussed the relations between the two countries, upgrading the level of diplomatic relations and opening new trade corridors and other regional issues.
In this meeting, the foreign ministers of the two countries called the mechanism of the joint meeting of the foreign ministers of Afghanistan, China and Pakistan useful and expressed hope that these meetings will continue in the future.
In the continuation of this meeting, the foreign minister of China has spoken about his country’s desire to cooperate with the Afghan government in improving governance and capacity building.
