The presidents of Turkey and Uzbekistan met on the sidelines of the ECO meeting

Uzbekistan President Shaukat Mirziyoyev met with his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan on the sidelines of the 16th ECO Summit in Tashkent.

The Press Office of the President of Uzbekistan said in a statement that further expansion of multilateral cooperation between Uzbekistan and Turkey and deepening of comprehensive strategic partnership were discussed and discussed in this meeting.

During this meeting, the President of Uzbekistan said: “Big investment projects with the participation of prominent Turkish companies are being implemented in our country. Since the beginning of the year, more than 500 million dollars of direct capital has been attracted and more than 200 new companies have been created.

In this meeting, the presidents of the two countries emphasized the importance of accelerating joint projects and programs in the fields of trade, industry, innovation, energy, transportation, education, culture, tourism, etc.

The heads of the two countries also exchanged views on current issues in the regional agenda.
