The Taliban’s interior minister asked the international community to cooperate in the fight against armed groups

Sirajuddin Haqqani, Acting Minister of Interior Affairs of the Islamic Emirate, in a meeting with Roza Otunbayeva, the Special Representative of the Secretary General of the United Nations in Afghanistan, called for the cooperation of the international community in the fight against armed groups.

The Ministry of Interior of the Islamic Emirate said in a statement that during this meeting, the acting minister said that the international parties should support the efforts of the Islamic Emirate to control armed criminals.

Haqqani called international peace as important as the peace and stability of Afghanistan for the Islamic Emirate and added that the Islamic Emirate has taken the necessary measures to treat its neighbors correctly and honestly.

In this meeting, the special representative of the Secretary General of the United Nations said that the return of Afghan refugees from neighboring countries has caused many problems for the refugees, and the international community is monitoring this process.
