Ministry of Public Health: More than 12 thousand people are suffering from AIDS

The Ministry of Public Health of the Islamic Emirate says that about 12,000 people have been infected with AIDS in Afghanistan.

The ministry wrote on page X that according to the statistics of the World Health Organization, 0.1% of people in Afghanistan are infected with AIDS, and until the end of 2022, about 12 thousand people have been infected with this disease.

The Ministry of Public Health added that 3,492 of the people infected with AIDS in the country have been registered through the Ministry’s Communicable Disease Control Program and have been treated.

AIDS is a virus that damages the body’s immune system, and this disease is transmitted to another person through body fluids, including semen, blood, vaginal and rectal secretions, and breast milk.
