At least 63 people died due to floods in Tanzania

Tanzanian officials say that the number of flood victims in the north of the country has increased to 63.

The Prime Minister of Tanzania, Kassem Majaliwa, has said that the number of victims of floods in the north of this country has reached 63 and the number of injured has reached 116.

He added that as a result of these floods and landslides, half of the village he visited was destroyed.

Meanwhile, Zahura Yunus, the spokesperson of the Tanzanian president’s office, said that the floods have affected at least 1,150 families and 5,600 people, and destroyed 750 acres of agricultural land.
