The Taliban called the recent report of the World Bank far from reality
The economic deputy of the Taliban prime minister has rejected the recent World Bank report that half of the people of Afghanistan live below the poverty line.
In part of the latest report of the World Bank on the economic situation of Afghanistan, it is stated that half of the people of Afghanistan live below the poverty line and are facing a bad economic situation.
In a statement, the Deputy Prime Minister’s Economic Office of the Taliban rejected this issue and said that after the transformation in the country, large and medium-sized projects have been started and in which tens of thousands of people have been provided with work.
This institution added that with the progress in the fields of trade, industry, agriculture and infrastructure, job opportunities have been provided for the citizens.
However, the economic deputy of the caretaker government welcomed some issues such as the increase in national income, the increase in the level of imports, the significant increase in the value of the Afghani currency against foreign currencies, the decrease in the price of food and the development of the banking system, which were mentioned in the World Bank report.
