The World Food Program needs more than 26 million dollars to help returnees
The World Food Program says it needs more than $26 million to support one million returnees from Pakistan to Afghanistan.
The World Food Program said in a statement that the organization needs $26.3 million in the first phase to help people who are unsure how they will survive the devastating winter.
This organization added that it is facing a huge challenge and due to the lack of funds in 2023, it has been forced to reduce emergency food aid to 10 million people in Afghanistan.
According to WFP, more than 370,000 people have been forced to return to Afghanistan from Pakistan, and the organization supported nearly 280,000 returnees with food and cash in November.
