The Taliban called the US veto of the cease-fire request in Gaza unfortunate

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate called the veto request for a ceasefire in Gaza by the United States regrettable.

On page X, this ministry called the position of the United States, based on which it vetoed the request for a cease-fire resolution in Gaza against the international consensus and the Security Council, as regrettable and condemnable.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs added that with this action, America has made itself an open partner in the ongoing atrocities in Gaza.

The United States of America, as a permanent member of the Security Council, vetoed the resolution proposed by the United Arab Emirates to establish a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, despite obtaining 13 votes in favor in this council.

The resolution proposed by the United Arab Emirates was voted on at the United Nations Security Council meeting on Friday, where 13 of the 15 members of the Security Council voted in favor, the United States voted against, and the United Kingdom abstained.

The deputy representative of the United States in the United Nations emphasized in the meeting of the Security Council that Washington does not support the requests for an immediate humanitarian ceasefire in Gaza.

He claimed that such action sows the seeds of the next war.
