Thomas West announced the aid of 77 million US dollars to Afghan refugees

Thomas West, the US special representative for Afghanistan affairs, says that the United States has contributed more than 70 million dollars to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees to deal with Afghan refugees in Pakistan.

He wrote on page X that this year the United States has donated 77 million dollars to the United Nations High Commissioner to deal with Afghan refugees in Pakistan and 9 million dollars to the International Organization for Migration to deal with the recent earthquakes in Afghanistan.

Mr. West added that he had a valuable meeting with the leadership of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees and the International Organization for Migration in Islamabad and discussed their support for Afghans who are more vulnerable and at risk.

The US special representative for Afghan affairs has also met with Afghan refugees during his visit to Pakistan.
