China’s representative in Afghanistan met Mottaqi

Yu Xiaoying, China’s special representative for Afghanistan, met with Amir Khan Mottaqi, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate.

Abdul Qahar Balkhi, the spokesman of the ministry, wrote on page X that in this meeting, he discussed the recent developments in the bilateral relations between Afghanistan and China, especially the participation of the foreign minister in the Trans-Himalayan meeting, the meeting of the foreign ministers of the two countries, the beginning of the work of the Afghan ambassador in Beijing, and China’s investments in Afghanistan has been widely discussed.

In this meeting, the Minister of Foreign Affairs requested China to start practical work on Aynak copper project and assured that the relevant departments of Afghanistan are fully prepared in this field.

The representative of China in Afghanistan affairs also said in this meeting that the customs tariff on goods imported from Afghanistan to China has been reduced in order to increase the trade between the two countries.

In the recent meeting, the two sides emphasized on expanding relations, increasing trade and more cooperation in the political sector.
