Salang Highway was opened to traffic

The Salang tunnel was put into operation after the completion of the reconstruction in the presence of the authorities of the Islamic Emirate.

The Economic Deputy Office of the Prime Minister of the Islamic Emirate wrote on page X that Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar, Economic Deputy Minister of Noskhat Tuzir, Mullah Muhammad Isa Thani, Acting Minister of Public Works, representatives of the private sector and a number of government officials were present at the opening ceremony of this highway.

The deputy economic directorate added that the basic reconstruction work of the tunnels and galleries of the Salang highway by the private sector has been completed before the scheduled time and has been put into operation for any traffic.
