The European Union provides 25 million euros to Afghanistan
The World Food Program of the United Nations has announced the aid of 25 million euros from the European Union for the people of Afghanistan.
In a newsletter, this organization appreciated the 25 million euro contribution of this union and said that this budget will help the World Food Program to deliver food aid to elderly families, including displaced persons, throughout Afghanistan.
The World Food Program added that this budget will also be useful for the prevention and treatment of malnutrition in young children and pregnant and lactating mothers.
According to the World Food Program, from January to the end of September 2023, this organization was able to reach more than 17 million food insecure people across Afghanistan, of which 8.6 million were women and girls.
