The World Health Organization says that it needs more than 180 million dollars to provide medicine and support the health sector in Afghanistan.
Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Director General of the World Health Organization wrote on page X that the organization needs $185 million to continue providing medicine, support hospitals, prevent the death of more Afghan children and women due to malnutrition and the consequences of food insecurity.
He added that currently 13 million people in Afghanistan, 30% of the total population of the country, are facing severe food insecurity.
According to the Director General of the World Health Organization, nearly one million children in Afghanistan are severely malnourished, and 2.3 million children suffer from moderate acute malnutrition.
