Thomas West emphasized the continuation of girls’ education in Afghanistan
Thomas West, the US special representative for Afghanistan affairs, says that for Afghanistan’s future resources, girls need to be allowed to continue their education.
Emphasizing the continued education of girls in Afghanistan, he wrote on page X that a year ago, the Taliban announced an indefensible ban on women attending universities.
The US special representative for Afghanistan added that most Afghans believe that Afghanistan needs a generation of future female doctors, engineers, business leaders, and educators in order to grow and develop and stand on its own feet.
He emphasized that for the future of Afghanistan and the interests of the people of this country, women’s access to education at all levels should be placed in the center of priorities.
