Turkmenistan plans to increase its trade volume with Afghanistan to one billion dollars
Raşid Meredov, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, during his recent visit to Herat Province, Afghanistan, met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan and other high-ranking officials of the Islamic Emirate.
Meredov said in this meeting that his country plans to increase the volume of trade with Afghanistan to one billion dollars, and to realize this, a comprehensive road map must be prepared and implemented between Afghanistan and Turkmenistan.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan also said that his country is preparing to hold an exhibition in Ashgabat where Afghan goods will be displayed.
Referring to the issue of energy cooperation, he stated that his country is ready to start work on the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) gas pipeline project in Afghanistan in the near future.
