SIGAR: The ban on women’s work has reduced the request for humanitarian aid funding in Afghanistan
The Office of the Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction (SIGAR) says that the request for humanitarian aid funding to Afghanistan has decreased due to the ban on women’s work.
SIGAR wrote on Page X that the request for humanitarian aid funding in Afghanistan fell by $1.3 billion in June following the Taliban’s decrees banning women from working in international non-governmental organizations or the United Nations.
This is while the United Nations had previously announced that the ban on women’s work by the Taliban in Afghanistan has made the process of distributing humanitarian aid in this country a challenge.
