OCHA: Afghanistan is the second recipient of humanitarian aid from the United Nations in the world

The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs says that Afghanistan is the second recipient of financial aid from this organization.

OCHA said in a statement that in 2023, Afghanistan has received 53 million dollars from the United Nations Emergency Response Central Fund.

According to OCHA, in March, Afghanistan received $18 million from the rapid response window of the United Nations Central Emergency Response Fund, at that time, 17.2 million people in the country did not know where their next meal would come from.
