Mujahid: No one is arbitrarily arrested in Afghanistan
Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesman of the Islamic Emirate, reacted to UNAMA’s recent statements regarding the arrest of education activists in Afghanistan and said that no one is arrested arbitrarily.
On Wednesday, the Office of the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) called for an end to the arrest of education activists by the Taliban and said that the rights of families, lawyers, care and fair trial should be respected.
In response, the spokesman of the Islamic Emirate said: “If the person arrested was based on the legal channel and the judicial organs have done this.”
According to Mr. Mujahid, judicial bodies have the authority to arrest criminals.
