OCHA: More than 15 million people in Afghanistan will experience food insecurity in 2024
The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in Afghanistan says that in 2024, more than 15 million people in Afghanistan will experience food insecurity.
OCHA wrote on page X that Afghanistan is still facing a high rate of hunger and malnutrition and in 2024, about 15.8 million people in this country will experience acute food insecurity.
OCHA added that sustainable funding is needed to ensure that families can meet their basic needs and prevent further hunger in communities.
It should be mentioned that the return of Afghan immigrants from neighboring countries to Afghanistan, drought and sanctions on Afghanistan have worsened the human situation in this country.
