More than 40,000 Afghan refugees have returned to Afghanistan since the beginning of 2024
Officials of the Ministry of Immigrant Affairs of the Islamic Emirate say that since the beginning of the new year, more than 40,000 Afghan immigrants have returned to Afghanistan from Pakistan, Iran and Turkey.
Abdul Mutalib Haqqani, the spokesman of the ministry, said in an interview with Tolo channel that since the beginning of the new year, 42,000 Afghan immigrants have returned to this country from Pakistan, Turkey and Iran.
According to him, these immigrants were forcibly returned to Afghanistan from the mentioned countries.
Officials of the Ministry of Immigrant Affairs say that immigrants who have returned from neighboring countries need urgent help.
However, according to the statistics of this ministry, there are currently more than 5 million Afghan immigrants in Iran and more than 3 million in Pakistan.
