A mortar shell explosion in Baghlan killed two children

Local officials in Baghlan say that two children died after a mortar shell exploded in this province.

The Baghlan Police Command said in a newsletter that this incident in the “Central Baghlan” district occurred when the Kokans were playing with a mortar head.

According to the newsletter, as a result of this incident, two children died and 7 other children were injured.

It should be mentioned that the explosion of unexploded ordnance has led to the death of children many times in most provinces of Afghanistan.
