Kyrgyzstan Expresses Support for Afghanistan’s Connection to China’s Uzbekistan Railway

In a meeting with Acting Minister of Industry and Commerce Nouruddin Azizi, Kyrgyzstan’s Minister of Economy and Trade Daniyar Amangaldyev emphasized the development of trade and transit between Afghanistan and Kyrgyzstan and said Kyrgyzstan supports Afghanistan’s connection to the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway.

The Ministry of Industry and Commerce wrote in its X-mail account today that Noureddin Azizi has asked Kyrgyzstan’s Minister of Economy and Trade to reduce the cost of transit of Afghan trade goods to China via Kyrgyzstan.

The ministry added that the two sides agreed to form contact teams during the meeting.
