Taliban invited at UN meeting for Afghanistan

Mawlawi Abdul Kabir, the political deputy head of Taliban ministers, said the group’s representative was invited to the upcoming Doha meeting on the future of Afghanistan.

Mawlawi Abdul Kabir, deputy political director of the Taliban’s ministerial directorate, has claimed that the group’s representative will be invited and will attend the upcoming Doha meeting on Afghanistan.

The United Nations recently announced the Doha meeting in less than three weeks.

This is the second time that Doha has hosted a meeting of special envoys from countries for Afghanistan, although no representatives from the Islamic Emirate were invited in the first round.
