Islamic Emirate seeks to increase trade with Central Asia
A spokesman for the Taliban’s Commerce Ministry said the value of Afghanistan’s imports from Central Asia last year was $1.4 billion and exports to the region were $100 million.

In order to increase exports to Central Asia, an exhibition will be held in Turkmenistan in less than a month, where Afghan businessmen will also participate, according to the ACCI.
Statistics from the Taliban’s Ministry of Industry and Commerce show that up to $2 billion in exports came from Afghanistan in 2023, most of which went to India, Pakistan, China and the United Arab Emirates.
