Foreign policy: Bashar Norzai has entered trade with China

Foreign Policy Media wrote in a post that Bashar Norzai, a drug trafficker and former Taliban financier, has entered trade with China.

Norzai، who was sentenced to life in prison، was exchanged for an American hostage in September 2022.

Foreign Policy described Bashar Norzai as a “drug king” and wrote that “his heroin empire helped fund the Taliban’s long war in Afghanistan.”

Norzai has now made vague joint venture deals with Chinese companies in Afghanistan, which have won at least two mining and oil contracts, according to the media.

The Taliban have signed several contracts with China in the field of mining and petroleum in Afghanistan.
