150 radio stations are active in Afghanistan.

The United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) said it was hard to imagine a world without radio.

It says in X, 150 radio stations are currently operating in Afghanistan.

“We celebrate this day to demonstrate the power of radio that shapes unity and development across Afghanistan, and the UN family support the Afghan people’s right to information and freedom of expression.”

February 13 is World Radio Day.
