Azerbaijan appointed ambassador to Kabul for the first time

The Foreign Ministry of the Islamic Emirate said that Azerbaijani Ambassador Elham Mukhamedov has come to Kabul and held a complimentary meeting with Amir Khan Muttaqi, the group’s acting foreign minister.

Abdul Qahar Balkhi, a spokesman for the Foreign Ministry of the Islamic Emirate, wrote in X-rays on Thursday morning that the Azerbaijani diplomat had delivered a letter from the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry about the opening of the embassy in Kabul to Mottaqi.

Azerbaijan is reopening its embassy in Afghanistan for the first time and sending diplomats to the country at the level of ambassador, it said.
