An Uzbek company has started the reconstruction of the destroyed sections of the Harayatan-Mazar-e-Sharif railway.
Officials in the country’s railway department say that this project will cost more than six million dollars and its work will be completed in the next three months.
Seyed Naeem Mohammadi, Finance and Administrative Deputy of the country’s railway administration said at the opening ceremony of this project that this road was destroyed by some people and it is going to be rebuilt again according to the budget of this administration.
The Minister of Finance and Administration of the Railway Department said: “This railway was destroyed by ignorant and ignorant people who have caused a serious loss to the system, and now, Alhamdulillah, an agreement has been made with an Uzbek company to rebuild it.”
Shafiqullah Mahmoud, head of the Balkh Railway Department, said: “Its cost is approximately 6,300,000 dollars, which has been contracted.”
Balkh Deputy Governor Nurul Hadi Abu Idris said: “The projects that are implemented in countries from Uzbekistan to Pakistan and Afghanistan establish our relationship with neighboring countries.
The head of the Balkh Chamber of Commerce and Investment says that with the activation of this road, congestion in the customs of this province will also decrease.
