Iran’s emphasis on the constructive role of the United Nations in Afghanistan

Hassan Kazemi Qomi, Ambassador and Special Representative of the President of Iran in Afghanistan, has requested special attention of the United Nations to the realities of Afghanistan and the region at the “Third Doha Conference on Afghanistan”.

Mr. Qomi made these statements in a meeting with Roza Otunbayeva, head of UNAMA, and asked international organizations to actively participate in helping the people of Afghanistan.

He said that Iran is ready to immediately transfer humanitarian aid to the victims of recent floods in Afghanistan.
